Active Paws is a small, experienced team providing professional dog walking and practical dog training for dogs antheir owners.

For more than 12 years, we have helped local dogs enjoy safe, fun walks while their owners are at work or managing busy lives. We understand how important it is to know that your dog is in reliable hands, receiving the exercise, company and attention they need.

Alongside our walking service, we offer group classes and individual training for puppies and adult dogs. Our training is designed to be clear, practical and relevant to everyday life, helping owners better understand their dogs while developing useful skills, confidence and cooperation.

We believe successful training involves both ends of the lead. Rather than applying the same approach to every dog, we consider the individual dog, their owner and the life they share. Our aim is to provide straightforward, supportive coaching that strengthens the relationship between dogs and their people.

Ongoing professional development is an important part of our work. We continue to expand our knowledge and keep our training informed by current understanding, while remaining realistic about what works for dogs and owners in everyday life.

 

Our Training & Qualifications - Veterinary Nursing NVQ Level 2 & 3. Level 3 Diploma in Canine Nutrition (Ofqual) Degree Animal Behaviour, Diplomas in Advanced Canine Behaviour, Dog Training (Distinction), Dog Walking & Pet Sitting, First Aid, Dorwest Herb Trained (Distinction)​, School of Canine Science Students - Behaviour Bible, Puppy Lab, 30 days of Science, Scent 4 Six, Pet, WSDA Instructors (Blue) and Level One Judges & CHW Hoopers Instructor.
